Welcome Back Pioneer Orchestra Families!
This is the email sent by Mr. Glawe on Monday, August 30th. If you did not receive it, please let him know directly.
Hello Orchestra Families (from Mr. Glawe),
Interlochen Success (August 17-23)
I want to start by thanking the Pioneer Orchestra staff for helping make this camp possible: Myra Court, Langston Hemenway, Ashley Dyer, Katie Van Dusen, Scott Glasser, Noah Mosberg, Mollie Ruth, Stephanie Boyd, Julie Zinn, Carol Palms and Marcia White (head nurse). I also want to thank the students of the Pioneer Orchestras for putting all of their energy into making a high quality musical product, but also achieving our goal of creating a social event for the orchestras to get to know each other. 86 of our 150 enrolled string students participated, and I only hope more will join us next summer. Many thanks to the families who were able to come up and share the experience with us on the Sunday concert. It was truly my pleasure to lead this camp, and I do hope to continue it in the future.

MUSIC READY FOR PICK UP NOW!!! Symphony Orchestra
With the help of some wonderful students, most of the music for the first half of the school year is ready for pick up outside of Mr. Glawe's office door, B116b. Please stop by and pick it up anytime that school is open. The symphony music is quite challenging this fall, so it is to your benefit to pick it up right away to prepare for your chair auditions in a few weeks.
CONCERT AND PHILHARMONIA MUSIC will be available on the first day of school. Just come to class!
Other Information
- Your first day of playing for all orchestras will be on the SECOND day of school. Please plan accordingly.
- Concert Orchestra: This year, I will hold your seating auditions in class as opposed to outside the school day.
Looking forward to another great year!
Most Sincerely,
Mr. Glawe
