Pioneer High School Orchestras have a very rich tradition of high musicianship. Below is a summary of our Grammy Success. 

 

Pioneer first applied for consideration during 2001-2002 and was selected as a Grammy Signature School;
that year one of the top 100 high school music departments in the nation and received a check for $1,000.

2002-2003 Pioneer was again selected as a Grammy Signature School;
that year one of the top 50 high school music departments in the nation and received a check for $1,000.

2003-2004 Pioneer was selected as a Grammy Gold Signature School;
one of the top 7 high school music departments in the nation and received a check for $5,000.

2004-2005 Pioneer was again selected as a Grammy Gold Signature School and received a check for $7,000.

2005-2006 Pioneer was selected as the National Grammy Signature School;
the best high school music department in the nation and
received a check for $20,000.

Pioneer may not apply again until 2009-2010 for the 2010 awards.
